The Marin Bikes Factory Team has added three new riders in a spring expansion. Each rider brings a new dimension to the successful team of working-class pro’s.
XC racer Bryan Alders from Colorado has been added to give Marin a greater reach East. Alders won his first outing as a team rider at the VooDoo Fire marathon race. He’s been racing for over 10 years, and is a former member of the MonaVie/Cannondale team. Bryan will be racing for the rest of the year on the Marin CXR 29′er for XC, and the Mount Vision for Super-D events.
On the gravity side, Marin has added two strong youngsters to the team. Brothers Chris and Thomas Ravina are Marin natives with huge potential in downhill disciplines. Chris, 18, finished 4th at the Sea Otter downhill in the Cat 1. 17-18 category. His older brother, Thomas, is 20 years old and lives at Tahoe.
Thomas is a strong downhiller, who beat many big-name foreigners in the Pro DH at the Sea Otter Classic. With the added support of Marin Bikes, both guys will have more opportunities to polish their skills on the national stage.
Both brothers will be racing at the US Pro GRT in Port Angeles, WA, on April 28th and 29th. Chris and Thomas are using each Marin full-suspension bike for different disciplines.
These additions bring the team roster to seven riders, covering virtually all off-road disciplines.
