MARIN BIKES was super excited to be involved in the Opening Round of the 2012 CMRC Monster Energy Canadian Motocross Nationals.
Lisa Jaggard, VP of Operations for MARIN CANADA, was in attendance for this soggy first round in Nanaimo, near Marin Canada’s home town of Parksville, BC just 20 minutes away. Having grown up surrounded by motocross, Lisa knew this was just part of what makes motocross the exciting unpredictable sport it is!

The Weather played a major factor in the day’s results, but MARIN BIKES/ROYAL DISTRIBUTING/KTM Racers Jeremy MEDAGLIA and Colton FACCIOTTI made trips to the podium throughout this soggy mud fest of a day! MEDAGLIA won MX2 Moto 1 but struggled in Moto 2 while Colton FACCIOTTI went 2/2 for 2nd overall in the Premier MX1 Class… Congratulations!
THE MARIN Supported OTSFF/ROCKSTAR/YAMAHA/MOTOVAN Team of Bobby KINIRY & Richard GREY had solid weekend results with KINIRY getting 3rd Overall in MX 1. Richard Grey had amazing, come- from- behind rides, in both MX 2 Motos, only to have fluke issues spoil his results with less than a lap to go in each moto. GREY showed the established MX2 Stars that he will be a contender for podiums as well!
All of the athletes have been training on Marin bikes like the Stelvio to build the fitness and endurance needed for the grueling races. MARIN BIKES wishes all the best possible results next weekend in Kamloops, BC for Round Two!
