Welcome Matt Jones

We are pleased to announce that professional freerider Matt Jones will be riding for Marin in 2017.

Jones, a 22 year-old athlete from Woburn, UK, has been riding mountain bikes professionally since finishing school four years ago. After making a transition from racing to slopestyle, 2016 saw Matt at the forefront of his sport. Six trips to the podium and three first place finishes earned him a worldwide ranking of 12th in slopestyle. Matt’s goals for 2017 involve adding more trail riding to his repertoire. An emerging video star, he will be the focus of a Red Bull feature later this year.

“We’re incredibly fortunate to have signed a rider of Matt’s level,” says Chris Holmes, Brand Director at Marin. “Not only is Matt a super-talented athlete with a lot of momentum, but he also fits in greatly with the Marin story. He is an all-around genuine guy and a great person to work with. We can’t wait to see what we are able to accomplish with him this year.”

''I’m stoked to be riding for Marin, as a brand that has been at the forefront of mountain biking since I first discovered the sport. I have long looked up to Marin and have enjoyed watching their renaissance over the past few years,” says Matt. “The crew at Marin has some exciting things coming that I can't wait to be a part of.''

Look for Matt to be aboard Marin’s Attack Trail and Mount Vision frames, along with his new alloy dirt jump frame. Jones’s other sponsors include Red Bull, Halo Wheels, Gusset Components, WD-40, Five Ten Footwear, Fox, and Shimano.
