ALL TRAILS, ALL CONDITIONS

Named in honor of our favorite post-ride taqueria, the Marin El Roy is our take on the perfect winch-up, shred-down hardcore hardtail. We’ve combined the soul of steel with super-modern, gravity-focused geometry and paired it up with big-trucking 29” wheels and a build-kit that’ll take on the roughest and toughest of trails.

The Marin El Roy Frame Kit allows riders to upgrade to ‘Roy, using their existing bike’s components. The El Roy is a Series 3 double-butted and formed CrMo frame with super-modern geometry that adds up to bags of fun on the mountain. It’s supplied with a seat clamp, FSA Orbit headset and bolt-on thru-axle to keep the setup simple and save you some dollars for burritos and brews.

El Roy is available in two sizes - ‘Regular’ and ‘Grande’.

Reviews

The Marin El Roy is just about as dialed as a hardtail can be for descending fast, or descending steep, or both. The flip side is the El Roy doesn’t climb as well as less aggressive hardtails. Aside from the wheels the build kit is spot on for its intended use, and offers a ton of value at this price point. I give the El Roy style points as well for its steel frame construction and glossy blue and red paint job.
