Marin Previews E-MTBs

by Chris Holmes

Marin is entering the burgeoning e-MTB market with two new hardtail models based upon our popular and acclaimed Nail Trail platform. The pedal assist models go one step further with spec and geometry that best suits the boosted bikes. Longer travel suspension forks, slacker head tube angles, more powerful brakes and wider tires better match the additional weight and capabilities of the Shimano STEPS E80000-equipped models. SRAM’s EX1, the first drivetrain specifically developed for the unique demands of the e-MTB, handles shifting duties with a wide-range 10-48t 8-speed cassette and bespoke chain that is engineered for the high torque and heavy duty use inherent with e-MTBs.
