SERIES 3 ALUMINUM FRAME

The standard and step-through versions of Sausalito feature a
Series 3 aluminum frame with butted tubes and robust forgings,
specifically designed to house the drive unit and removable battery,
as well as mount a variety of commute accessories directly to the
frame.

SHIMANO STEPS

The Sausalito 2 features the Shimano STEPS EP6 motor system with 250 Watts and 85Nm of torque for a good get-up-and-go feeling, with long range and enough power to get you over the steepest of climbs. The Sausalito 1 features a Shimano STEPS E5000 system with 250 Watts and 40Nm of torque.

REMOVABLE BATTERY

The battery is secured direct to the frame with a key lock, and is easy to remove to carry with you for charging. Sausalito 1s include a 418Wh battery, while the Sausalito 2 models step up to a 504Wh battery.

Reviews

The Marin Sausalito E1 brings the e-bike mid-drive to a lower price point without feeling like a budget barrel option. It’s still not cheap, but provides assistance for lengthy rides that still feel like a workout — just an easier one.
